message from Cathy Lenniston RE: working Bee

Dear All,

Last August, many of us planted over a hundred saplings to add to the existing plantings. The day was a huge success but we don’t want it all to go to waste under blackberry, convulvulus and grass etc.We have made some progress in fighting it but need to have another go so please help us and the local wildlife by finishing the job, at least for now.

We meet THIS SUNDAY 14th MARCHin the boatramp carparkfrom 10am to 12 NOON.

Depending on your chosen task, I suggest you bring gloves, secateurs, a trowel, rakes, loppers, slashers, or linetrimmers.Shelley has promised scones afterwards and if you haven’t tasted them you’d be crazy not to come just for that! It’s also a great way to socialise even if you only visit Tuateawa occasionally.Any queries or if you wish to help at a different time, do contact me. (029)1200439 or catherine.ladybird@gmail.com See you there,Cathy
